Edinburgh Breakin’ Convention is a unique festival of Hip Hop Dance Theatre. With rave reviews and sell-out shows at Sadler’s Wells in London for five years, the festival returns to Edinburgh in 09, giving you the chance to see some of the best Hip Hop dancers on the planet!
Witness a UK exclusive from the USA’s VII Gems Rock Dance Division featuring “the epitome of the B Boy” Ken Swift. French entertainer Salah mixes Hip Hop dance with mime and clowning and is known as the “Charlie Chaplin of Hip Hop”. Hailing from South Korea – arguably the best B Boying nation in the world – is MyoSung.
This is a performance from Myosung with Bboying and Poppin combined entitled Phantom Of Death 2009
This unique event brings together some of the world’s greatest hip hop performers with top local acts, and transforms the theatre with DJs, freestyle dance sessions and specially commissioned graffiti artwork in the foyer. Hosted by UK Hip Hop legend Jonzi D and Edinburgh’s very own Tony Mills, Breakin’ Convention is more than just a show – it is an experience.
