Mike Giant / Rebel8 design have just dropped and there's a very interesting article about graffiti artist, tattooist, fixed gear enthusiast Mike Giant in the current issue of Swindle Magazine. Swindle have just use my favourite t-shirt design the season on their cover and one of the other design we choose in the article, great minds or fools your call.

For us here at sturban clothing the Rebel8 clothing company is about one thing or rather one person Mike Giant. If you've never heard of Mike Giant then you probably aren't into old school graffiti or tattoos and you should just Google his name and you will see what a legend this guy is.


So as we said the only reason we stock Rebel8 is because of Mike Giant and his graffiti tattoo background and all his design are in keeping with this style so if you are going to buy one you'll probably be into the same. Anyway just had another new delivery from Mike Giant Rebel8 which ever you want to call it supposed to be Reble8 but with out Mike Giant there wouldn't be anything, so new designs now in if you are into old school graffiti or tattoos you'll like them guaranteed.

Mike Giant, Shepard Fairey, Faile Designs

Foundation One Gallery in Atlanta, Georgia is to auction off a bunch of skateboard decks by various artists with all proceeds going to The Swift-Cantrell Skate. Some of the artists donating art for the auction include Mike Giant, Shepard Fairey and Faile all these artists have clothing companies of designs on The Urban Shop

Obey and Mike Gaint in Juxtapoz

One of our favourite magazines is Juxtapoz and this month’s issue has an amazing article about Shepard Fairey aka Andre the Giant aka Obey. There’s loads of nice images of new Obey work all full pages plus the usual text about how the whole Obey phenomenon started and how hard it was being an struggling artist, jokes aside Shepard as pushed the envelope first the Andre the Giant and developing that in to the brand Obey and as they say in the article he’s the “Michael Jordan when it comes to street art. Nobody got up as much as him. Nobody.”

Zoo York Mike Giant Colab

Zoo York skateboards is again teaming with an artist this time Mike Giant to produce a limited edition skateboard deck and T-shirt. Mike Giant, known for his tattoo and graffiti designs. A portion of proceeds of both items will go to Stoked Mentoring a New York based non-profit youth organisation. As is usually the case we at The Urban Shop doubt that these items will ever reach Europe never mind the UK.
