Gumball winter clothing in
Winter see's Gumball lauch it's shower proof jackets in the form of Fangio, along with the Block bomber jacket (I've had a sample of this jacket for 6 months and love it) plus the Surtees hooded rip stop jacket. Also in print t-shirts, hoodies and the gotta have all over print full zip hood, and maybe some of the best leather belts we have seen this season, very short on accessories this year and they are good buys for Christmas.
Don't forget Gumball is a rally not a race and it's massive and includes entrants such as Bam, Xzibit and loads of other people we have no idea about. They have various rallies in various countries and drive around in cars like above and which sometime end up like below.

10Shott back to set the world alight!
In a time where some mainstream rappers chose to rap about guns, drugs and sometimes degrade women, you can’t help but thinking urban music needs something else. We need something maybe a little more conscious, positive and something more creative. Well look no further, because right on our British doorstep is an act that is destined to hit the big time….
If you don’t now about 10SHOTT he started life out on the mighty Wolftown Recordings, but now has signed a new deal with new record label Zy Records. After seeing the video for his debut single ‘Memory Blank’ you get the feeling that this is the start of something very big. Those good folks over at Park Street PR put us on 10SHOTT earlier in the year when we received the super ‘Ghetto Brick Road’ CD. Now with an album planned for spring 2008, big things are to be expected. 10SHOTT’s official My Space page 10shott you can actually hear this track as well as ‘American Born’ which features BIG WAYNE (the Wolftown rapper that featured on ‘A Grand Don’t Come For Free’ album by THE STREETS).
Be on the look out for 10SHOTT in 2008, and make you go and download ‘Memory Blank’ on January 29th 2008 through iTunes and all the normal download sites. Don’t say we didn’t warn you! 10SHOTT is back, and back with a BOOM!!!

Obey Nineteeneightyfouria @ StolenSpace
We got a few images from the opening of Shepard Fairey Obey Nineteeneightyfouria at London's StolenSpace Gallery. On a personal note I was getting bored with the whole Obey thing after all we have been a fan of Obey since about 2003 when we did try and distribute the brand but that’s all ancient history. After seeing the and the StolenSpace and Juxtapoz article I’m back onboard big style can believe the amount of detail that are n these new pieces.
Labels: Nineteeneightyfouria, Obey, Shepard Fairey
Mike Giant, Shepard Fairey, Faile Designs

Obey and Mike Gaint in Juxtapoz
One of our favourite magazines is Juxtapoz and this month’s issue has an amazing article about Shepard Fairey aka Andre the Giant aka Obey. There’s loads of nice images of new Obey work all full pages plus the usual text about how the whole Obey phenomenon started and how hard it was being an struggling artist, jokes aside Shepard as pushed the envelope first the Andre the Giant and developing that in to the brand Obey and as they say in the article he’s the “Michael Jordan when it comes to street art. Nobody got up as much as him. Nobody.”
Also on a recent cover was our latest t-shirt brand Rebel8 creator Mike Giant you should check it it’s a nice mag.

Time for the beanies and scarf's
Here in the Midlands UK it’s getting cold, only this morning I had to search out my beanie and a new scarf. We have a mad selection of scarf’s this year with checks from Mada and stripes from both WeSC and QWST, added bonus all Mada and QWST purchases get a free copy of our latest mix cd “Music for a MySpace Generation” compiled and hosted by our old mate from UKRunnings, Mr Tricksta as he’s known since his presenting at UMA.
Added note if you are looking for that little present for somebody can’t go wrong with beanies and scarf’s as there’s no sizing as long as you get the colour right.
Whilst we are on the knitwear trip we have some think knitted hoods from Zoo York, a colourful cardi from WeSc and loads of really nice smart jumpers from WeSC, QWST and Fly53, I’m still feeling knitwear especially now it’s getting colder again.

D21 interview
Where are you from and what was it like growing up there?
I’m born in east London but grew up from 1 in the Bronx. It’s not like the typical neighbour hood cause we all grew up like family in my area so just for the sheer numbers the neighbour hood was secure.
How did you get your name and is there a story behind it?
My name is D21. The original story behind it is I’m D from 219th street. Keep the 9 on silent and you get D21. Then as I got older it blended with being determined to win.
Was there a situation or a person who inspired you to rap?
It just felt like what I was supposed to do. I had people telling me you look like this, and come join this cipher but I didn’t one day I did don’t know exactly why but the rest is history….
Tell us about your latest release.
The Pain Album is the most honest body of work I have done so far… It’s like an insight into my head for a certain period of time. Real autobiographical.
What do you prefer; playing live, recording in the studio or battling?
I would like to play live more and get that game up…. But right now I like recording don’t like to battle cause I can’t take it.
How would you describe your personality? What do you enjoy doing?
Me as a person, I go hard so I would say im driven. Always going somewhere have to be doing, learning…. Even if it sends me into a wall ill learn from that too. I am carefree about life more less just try to stay focused on mine.
How did you go about setting up independently?
Well I just established my self but pushing out cds in the local high streets to promote market and brand myself. Then I went to companies house and registered as a private limited. Now to establish some income……. PAIN ALBUM COMING SOON PAINMIXTAPES 1 + 2 ON SALE NOW!!!!!! By taking opportunities as they come and stretching them
Forget the budget, what would be your dream collobo?
I think D21 feat. Keisha Cole
With so many artists out there, what are you doing different to get heard?
I put out my music everyday directly to the BUYING public.
Now is your chance to get something off ya chest! Anything getting you down or any opinions you need to voice?
I think the industry in London should respect the work that me and my peers do for the game. I have pushed out over 40,000 quality cds in the streets. I literally CREATE hip hop fans in UK. People that listen to dark metal make time for my music that’s a lot. Also featured on Lick show wit Trevor Nelson for my hustle and drive.
Okay, before you go please give us you’re My Space details.

10Shott 'Memory Blank' Review
It seems 10Shott is like a bottle of good wine in the way that the more he matures the more potent his music becomes. This is one of those songs that you hear and walk around all day singing it! It’s annoyingly infectious and is something I could hear daytime BBC Radio 1 picking up on. Full of life, this song brings a new uplifting side to 10Shott. It has the perfect elements of a good track with stush sample-free production, a unique concept and a great flow. A splash of humour adds a different dimension to the song and it’s definitely something that could be very big indeed. It’s going to be a tough single to follow-up, but then again its 10Shott and you never really know what will happen next! Massive UK hip hop from 10Shott.

Christmas is Kicking in
Looks like it coming up to Christmas, Lulu is on TV advertising food and every next adverts seem to be push Christmas. Personally I always think Christmas should be kept in December but it does seem to be kicking in early this year. Been a hard couple of months in retail what with the Northern Rock, the mortgage problems in the States impacting on UK markets and increases in interest rates. You wouldn't think these factors would effect your everyday urban shopper but there’s only so much money to spend but this week there’s been definite up turning business and it’s starting to look very busy. Maybe after all the doom and gloom people are going “ah it’s Christmas coming let’s a have a blow out, we need one” and why not we say.
Up shot is things are getting busy here and if you have your eye on something it could have sold out by December so get it now if you don’t think it’s right you have plenty of time to return it and swap it for something else or find another present.
10Shott is back witah new single
Yes that’s right folks; UK emcee 10Shott has signed a new deal with Midland’s based record label Zy Records. At present he is putting the finishing touches to the much anticipated album release ‘A Di Real’ which is due for release in Feb 2008. To keep start the proceedings he will be dropping his first single ‘Memory Blank’ as a download on January 29th 2008. The single is accompanied by a superb video too which is set to hit the TV screens in December so make sure you look out for that. The second single ‘Tin Soldiers’ is a more controversial track where 10Shott discusses events around the Iraq War. This too will be accompanied by a video, but second time around it will be all animation. Expect big things from 10Shott in 2008 and for info contact 10Shott

Design project you could be part of
Check this from guy that’s working the darts industry and is wanting to revolutionise the design aspect and you can help.
Design of flights in the UK darts industry has not changed for 30 years! We say no more flags!
The explosion in Japan is driven by the new young generation of darts players 18-25, the hip hop crowd of skateboarders, mountain bikers and extreme sports generation. A further new trend has been the addition of clothing to the darts scene in Japan that reflects this younger generation. 3G Design (flights can be seen above) is a good example of a company that offers its own brand of darts and clothing. Also in Japan unlike many venues in the West the Japanese are enjoying their darts at young trendy modern Sports Bars.
Working for the last remaining darts manufacturer in this country (UK) we want them to survive and regenerate the industry, we would love to see the movement in Japan return to the West. One way we see to start is the designs on the flights and we want to put “Art on the Dart”, that a new generation of player can connect with.
Bonus there’s cash on offer but not much, but it is there depending how well a design on a flights sells.. We can’t promise fortunes.
We hope also artists will find this interesting... be inspired to create something that fits a blank piece of canvas the size 4cm x 3.5cm. Just think how cool that it could be, who knows when that world champion on Sky TV throws his dart and the design on the flight is your design.
There is also some possibility of t-shirts design in Japan which is a separate issue and could be a side benefit to any artists. Contact us in the first instance and we will put you in touch g-man[drop an at symbol here]theurbanshop.co.uk
