Does Tricksta ever sleep? Just the other week he did us a great Funk podcast or ‘The Funk Cast’ as Tricksta called it! LOL. Well Tricksta is back with a great 80 minute mix of old skool drum’n’bass. This podcast mix and sees Tricksta on the 1’s and 2’s for a quality super funky, uplifting, dubby, jazzy roll out! It’s something that’s great to sit down and chill too.

Introducing our latest mate, fellow blogger and new UrbanShop contributor sNOOk

A few words from the man himself well I am 33 and been living in Plymouth for 10 years since passing my Building Surveying degree. Originally from Torbay. Son of hippy parents. 1 of 4 brothers. I have 2 lovely kids from a previous relationship. Alice 10 and Daisy 6. They are my world basically.

I have always been into raving since I was about 14 / 15. Used to come down to Warehouse and Academy all the time to see all the names back in the day! I always wanted to DJ but being a student could never afford it. Since MP3 I have been able to afford new material and so started mixing on my laptop with Virtual DJ and a mixer. That was about 2 years ago. I have been mixing Dubstep for just over a year and before that it was all kinds of stuff from minimal techno to drum and bass to dub to hip hop. Mashup.

In my mind Dubstep is the perfect sound. It brings together all the best elements of so many different genres into one chest whompin bass hit! It is the missing piece I had been searching for.

I have been playing out over past 6 months which has been truly amazing. Such a buzz to have the power to make people freak out and start busting some moves! Crazy.
I have done a wide range of things from skate jams over the last year(Central Park and Mount Hawke Skatepark) to clubs (Frevela), from super chilled (Voodoo Lounge Cafe Concrete) to super hectic (Sub Heavy sets - last one was the Benny Page night 21-11-08) Pics on the myspace I recently pimped for my friend Bob at Subheavy

The rest of my time is spent running my website skateparkpages.com with my best mate Dan Pratley. We cover Skate and BMX videos, pics, news, skatepark details etc and are currently Google's number 1 site with around 30,000 visitors per month.

Ok my fingers hurt now so must stop typing.

sturban clothing Podcast Group

Always lookin' at new ways of interacting and getting the message of what we are about so now check out our podcasts some have been done by me and include the music I listen to but we don't want it to be all about us so we are letting almost anybody that wants to do a podcast a place to get them heard and out there so it's my and sturban clothing customerspodcasts. So where do you come in?

We are looking for 2 things

Drops: we need something along the lines "hi this is me from here and I shop at sturban clothing" but you can freestyle it

podcasts: if you wanna do one why not promote what you listen to your band and their influences, your night and the music it plays anything. So far we've had us, Tricksta from UkRunnings, Miss Represent doing a d&b mix and currently there's a podcast themed around war. We do have a dubstep night and a d&b recording label both doing casts as we speak
