A cautionary tale of one man and his dog

Spud is my little friend a Border Terrier he embodies everything that is good about his breed and to me he has to qualities that I feel I have tenacity, loyal, honest and trustworthy to name a few and of course as cute has they come. Spud and I go walking twice a day come rain or shine it gives him exercise and it gives me a rest, time to think a little exercise after sitting around all day doing nothing (my wife’s words but we’ll come back to her as she has a big part in this tale). Whilst out walking I have become inseparable from my I-pod not being able to play the kind of music I like, loud in the presence of aforementioned wife it give a bit a me time to blast it out.

Whilst walking I have my jacket (a WESC anorak that’s now sold out) keeps me warm and dry and carries all the bits I need ball, treats, bags (responsible dog owner) and of course my I-pod, now with the change in weather it’s time to abandon my winter coat and replace it with a lightweight showerproof jacket (a Fly53 Rumpsteak actually) and here where the woe starts.

So off with the old jacket and one with the new but the old jacket must be washed and put a way, I no what you’re thinking she washed the jacket and the I-pod, no she’s not that stupid (yet), but she did manage to take the I-pod out my jacket and put it in a puddle of water somewhere in our kitchen. Ah well that is life so let’s try drying it out me thinks so I put it on a radiator. “wouldn’t it be better if you opened the casing” said my wife “I think it’s sealed” but no later that day. “I’ve opened the casing and put it outside in the sun to dryout” said wife “OK” said man of few words later that day I looked at the I-pod and whilst opening the casing she managed to break the screen, “wont it work” she said speechless. There must be a moral here or a lesson to be learned but I’m at a loss.

On the up side the cracked screen looks really nice would make good wallpaper for the computer and I think I may have blagged not one new I-pod but two so we may have a competition for one of them soon.

WESC Steve Aoki Pro DJ Headphones

This season saw WESC launch headphones and everybody just went long with it giving it little thought but when delivery time came they realised that they were massively over subscribed in fact WESC had orders for approx 3 times what they had made and so deliveries were cut and some distributor never mind shops didn’t get any. When they hit the shop it was the same customers were going mad for them and in fact most were sold before they arrive on the hype alone. So to The Urban Shop we have just put on site what we had delivered and were not sold before they arrived it’s the pro model and the most expensive WESC made we only have left the ’Steve Aoki Pro DJ (Steve Aoki aka Kid Millionaire) if you’re a serious DJ or are looking for that extra special present for somebody special these are the babies.

Also in some wicked trousers and cords just called the Standards the images on site don’t do a lot for them and they are quite minimal unless you study them but they’re nice little touches like the inside of the pocket rims lined in yellow tape, I’m having some cords, they are a relaxed but not loose cut. Also in Zoltan knitted jumper and beanies and scarfs

WESC and the Pepsi Premium Good Campaign 2007

Los Angeles, CA (September 7th 2007) We Are the Superlative Conspiracy WESC and Diet Pepsi, in conjunction with DJ Am and We activist Axis, to unveil Diet Pepsi Premium Good Collaborative Bottle this weekend- September 9th, 2007- at Pure Night Club/LAX in Las Vegas.

Swedish street-fashion brand, WESC has announced today the first of two official launch parties celebrating the release of WESC Diet Pepsi Premium Good bottle, designed by graffiti legend and We activist Axis.

Hosted by Program Ambassador DJ AM, Sunday evening’s red carpet event will take place during the MTV Video Music Awards and will include live sets by DJ AM, a guest performance by P Diddy.

“It was great that Pepsi wanted WESC to do this very special collaboration bottle. Axis did an amazing job, and as a result The Diet Pepsi Premium Good bottle has turned out better then we ever imagined, but what I think it’s the most important in this Premium Good collaboration is that we can bring together and support the accounts we work with in Las Vegas and New England and that it’s about charity as well. The party is a great excuse to get our We activits and network of friends and shops together for a very special WESC evening,” says WESC CEO and co-founder Greger Hagelin.

The Diet Pepsi Premium Good Campaign revolves around the practice and principles of image, taste and receiving the most out of life and style. Premium Good has identified categories representing the fabric influence in lifestyle. These categories are Auto, Denim, Lifestyle Shoe, Music and Fashion Collection. The campaign recognizes WESC’s reputation of delivering the ultimate in taste-making products and style, and has therefore chosen WESC as the program’s representative for Fashion Collection.

The 2007 Diet Pepsi Premium Good Campaign is a unique collaborative venue, mixing art, commerce and style, as reflected by WESC. To celebrate, WESC will invite 20 accounts, co-conspirators and We activists Axis, Chris Pastras, Amy Gunther, Jason Lee and others from San Diego to Las Vegas to join in the festivities.

WESC Winter Jackets

Just arrived the aut/win 07 WESC collection, this brand is massive in Europe and we know that is loved on The Urban Shop but generally in the UK it's only the girls line that has be pushed and getting any publicity. WESC does a men's clothing range that can compete with any other brand, for me their knitwear is sic check the new arrival the Ernest 100% fine wool knit v neck jumper (personally I don't think the image does it justice) but if you know my fetish for knitwear you will trust me on this it's amazing. Also in 2 jackets a cotton parka and a wool mix duffel coat both are sweet and the parka can be seen above along with the totally mad allover printed Beppe Crew.
